Information on Classes
Classes will be held over Zoom and will be around an hour duration. Classes will be recorded and posted on a section of the website within the week after the class takes place. There will be a section at the end geared toward questions. Each class will be hosted by Cocka Roach with an Expert Guest with experience in the field of the class. Class One
Contracts and Self Advocacy 5/7/2025 6:00pm
Expert Guest: Absinthe Allure
Topics being covered: This class will cover what to expect from your producers, how to set boundaries with producers and expectations for contracts.
Materials needed: Pansy and Speakeasy will supply a copies of our performer contracts. Absinthe will be sending out a template of a contract a performer can send a producer.
Class Two
Self Care During Shows 5/21 6:00pm
Expert Guest: Notes from Priestess
Topics being covered: This class will cover how to take care of yourself backstage. Many performers have difficulty regarding chronic illness and chronic pain that can make self care difficult while performing. This can be impacted by the set up of the venue, weather conditions, strain while performing, etc.

Class Three
How To Get Booked 6/4 6:00pm
Expert Guest: Max Levelle and Absinthe Allure
Topics being covered: This class will cover the steps needed to get bookings in the rogue valley. With expert guests Max Levelle and Absinthe Allure, you will have access to three producers in the area with different processes in booking performers. We will go over your “resume” for performing and how to advocate for yourself when looking for bookings.
Materials needed:

A performer “resume” including your age, performer name, how long you’ve been performing (debut, new performer, experienced performer etc,) what themes you would be interested in performing, what kind of performance you do (singing, lip sinc, comedy, burlesque, etc.)

This resume draft should include your performer name, a promo photo, years of experience in similar fields like theatre, singing, comedy, or dance (whatever applies to your performance style,) staple acts you have prepared or concepts of acts, and contact information.
Class Four
Communication 6/18 6:00pm
Expert Guest: Absinthe Allure
Topics being covered: This class will cover communication with your producers as well as other cast members. We will help showcase proper communication skills when addressing problems, responding to reasonable requests from producers about topics like music, intro needs, set up and tear down needs for each act, and the kinds of performance you will be doing.
